Terms and Conditions
The short version. Voltz replaces your battery icon with a character. It is free, paid for by ads, with an optional one-off purchase that unlocks everything. Use it sensibly, do not try to break it, and understand that it is a cosmetic app — do not rely on it for anything that matters.
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and Honey World Technology ("we", "us"), the publisher of Voltz — Emoji Battery Status Bar ("the app"). By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please uninstall the app.
2. What the app does
Voltz draws a character over the battery icon in your device's status bar, and reflects your charge level in its expression. It also provides a charging screen, a widget-style preview, and a library of skins.
Drawing over the status bar requires Android's accessibility permission, which only you can grant, from your device's Settings. Without it the app still runs, but it cannot change your status bar. You may withdraw the permission at any time.
3. Skins, unlocks and Voltz Plus
- Some skins are free. Others unlock by watching an advertisement, and others are part of Voltz Plus.
- Voltz Plus is a one-off purchase that unlocks every skin and removes advertising. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- Unlocks are tied to your installation, not to an account. If you uninstall the app, change device, or clear its data, your unlocks may not carry over, because we do not hold any personal identifier that could restore them.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play. Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy, not by us.
Skins are original artwork drawn by the app. They do not depict, and are not affiliated with, any licensed character, brand or franchise.
4. Advertising
The free version of the app shows advertisements, including full-screen ads at natural break points and sponsored rows while browsing. Ads are supplied by third parties; we do not control which specific ad you see and are not responsible for the content of advertisements or the sites they lead to.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
- attempt to unlock paid content without paying for it, or interfere with the systems that record unlocks;
- use the app to break any law, or in any way that damages or overloads our services;
- redistribute the app or its artwork as your own.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the app and its servers working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and skins may be added or withdrawn. If our servers are unreachable, the skin already on your status bar keeps working — it is stored on your device.
7. Battery and device
Voltz reports your battery level as your device reports it, and estimates such as "time to full" are approximations provided by the operating system. Do not rely on them for anything important. The app runs a small background component to keep the status bar drawing; its effect on battery life is minimal but not zero.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its source, its artwork and the Voltz name remain ours. Using the app gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on your own devices, and nothing more.
9. No warranty
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it and disclaim any implied ones, including fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including lost data or missed notifications. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Ending this agreement
You can end it at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend access if these terms are broken, in particular where paid content is being obtained without payment.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Privacy
How the app handles data is set out separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
